Search the FAQ for entries containing:

The Bottom bracket shell is 68mm wide. You can use most modern x-type cranksets that can fit either 68mm or 73mm BB shells. If you are retro-cool and using a carriage bottom bracket, you will want a 68x113. This means the bearings fit a 68mm shell and the spindle is 113mm wide. The spindle length required, can be effected by the crank you use, so double check your combination with your local bike shop.
